Fly Fishing Exhibit in Now Open
Our Edgemont Fly Fishing Museum of the Southern Appalachians exhibit officially opened on April 2nd. We have been blessed with patrons willing to loan and donate items to display. Wilson Creek and the Mortimer and Edgemont area have a rich history of fly fishing and individuals who were well known and made great contributions to the sport.
Special thanks go out to Alen Baker who was instrumental in making the exhibit come to fruition. Alen provided the vision and content.
Since 1895, Coffeys General Store has been the community gathering place in Edgemont. Once serving as the post office. Today Coffey's store holds the history of the community. If the walls could talk, just imagine the stories they would tell. Stop by and sit a spell!
